Video Synopsis:
goIT is a fun, flexible and free initiative to introduce students from years 5 – 10 to the world of STEM. Students are familiarised with the field of STEM, the design thinking process and the SDGs. Students are tasked with brainstorming, designing and have the option to build an app to solve these real-world problems and present their solution.
goIT Girls is a week-long work experience program that provides opportunities with the intent of inspiring a new generation of innovators and STEM professionals. The program aims to provide insights into a career within the technology industry while challenging the gender occupational stereotypes.
The program attracts female students in Years 10 and 11 that are curious about a career in technology.
