What is a black hole? What causes hiccups? What weird questions keep you up at night? Who better to answer your questions than Australia’s favourite science writer Dr Karl Kruszelnicki!

Dr Karl has qualifications in science, maths, engineering, medicine and surgery. He is the author of over 40 books as well as a popular broadcaster and media personality. He is known for his unique ability to make science relatable and engaging and is a passionate advocate for science and STEM education.

This live and free event is the chance for students to ask Dr Karl about the science and education questions they have always wondered about. Dr Karl encourages curiosity and all questions from attendees are welcome!

HOW TO ASK YOUR QUESTIONS:

Questions from the heart that you generally want to know the answers to are best. Develop your own questions or get your class together to come up with one. During the webinar, Dr Karl and our Science and STEM curriculum teams will try to answer as many as time allows during the webinar.

Submit a video: Send your question to us via video. Make it landscape format, ensure you have good lighting, and use a microphone if you have one. Eight video questions will be selected to feature during the webinar. Email your video questions to STEM@det.nsw.edu.au.

Submit a question live: Teachers will have access during the webinar through the Zoom Q & A function to pose live questions during the event. Dr Karl will answer live on air and our expert Science and STEM teachers will also assist in answering as many questions as possible in the chat.
